So it was planned
(but we didn't get the Visa for Belarus)
July/August 2018
Borderhopping to Czernowitz (former Austrian Empire) in Ukraine. Then the famous painted Cloisters of Moldau in Romania. Short visit of Chisinau, Moldova and then surprise, surprise: We explore the separatist Republic of Transnistria. A little adventure.
Here in Kiev the next surprise - we thought, all the campsites don’t exist anymore. No matter. But then came the guy and we had water, electricity and shower...

Ukraine is a wonderful country. We like it. People, kitchen, countryside. (Except the road conditions and some policemen).
Now we are in Eastern Poland and it’s OK to be back in the European Union.

14 years ago we visited the Baltic States. It’s great to come back.
We explore Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania with our Brompton Bikes. Free refreshment (raindrops).
In the dusk public viewing of the 1/2 finals of the Soccer-Championship.

Riga is the Capital of Latvia. Very wet cobbled streets at heavy raining. Tricky with the little bikes.

Tallinn, the capital of Estonia is our favorite in the Baltic states.

FINLAND/NORWAY
It’s a long way to the North Cape (with detours).

Vesterålen and Lofoten
Great landscape sculpture: Sea and steep mountains

Sidestep to SWEDEN
Lappland - endless forests, large lakes and 1 moose per 1 human

Back to the coast of southwestern NORWAY

Oslo - not the most beautiful capital, but with really interesting quarters

Southern Sweden. To meet my brother’s family we took a detour to Stockholm. It’s a great city!

Denmark - Lübeck - Hamburg.
We cross the Baltic Sea and nearly everybody speaks German.

Berlin - the German Capital

Interesting cities in the western part of Czech Republic
